GTT 165, a 50 m hydrofoil yacht capable of crossing the Atlantic

GTT 165, the largest model of Dynamiq Yachts

After the GTT 115, a 35-metre hybrid yacht developed in collaboration with the F.A Porsche studio, the Monegasque shipyard Dynamiq is launching a second model. The GT 165 is a 50 m aluminium yacht designed by aerodynamics specialists and equipped with two underwater foils. Another hydrofoil model in the world of motorboating

The Dynamiq construction site made itself known in September 2017 by unveiling the TWG 115 The Porsche Studio is a luxurious and sporty 50-metre yacht designed in collaboration with the Porsche Studio. On the strength of this initial success, the Monegasque shipyard is presenting 3D images of a new model, the GT 165. This 50-metre yacht will be the shipyard's largest model. Entirely designed in aluminium, the GT 165 will be above all equipped with foils. Its exterior style signed Dobroserdov Design has a modern, dynamic and sporty look. The shipyard also announces a plethora of innovations.

The largest model from the Monegasque shipyard has a fast moving hull, designed by the Dutch aerodynamics specialists, Van Oossanen. A fixed "Hull Vane" foil at the rear of the hull and a T-foil at the bow developed in association with the American company Naiad Dynamics, specialists in stabilisers, allow the boat to be lifted when it gains speed, to reduce drag and to increase speed.

With its two V8 MTU engines, the yard announces a speed of 20 knots and an "ability to cross the Atlantic at 17 knots"... A rather fast speed for a crossing of around 3,000 miles! A "GTS" engine option allows to reach 25 knots, while at 12 knots, the shipyard announces an incredible range of 4,000 miles. Its chine hull and stabilization system brings power and stability. Optional flexible solar panels (55m2/m) and a Lithium-Ion battery (optional), allow her to stay at anchor all night long in silence and without a generator activated. In the same way, this system allows the GT 165 to sail in "breakfast cruising" mode at a speed of 5-6 knots in zero emission mode.

With its 5 or 6 cabins (including one 2 e owner's cabin on the lower deck), the TWG 165 can accommodate 12 guests and 9 crew members. There is a large "beach club" on board, covered by a glass roof and which hosts a spa or a gym. On the main deck, there is a beautiful outdoor space in the cockpit, while on the upper deck, a large 20 m long terrace can accommodate a large dining room or bar, a cinema room with TV 75' and a Jacuzzi as well as a beautiful sunbathing area. At the front of the wheelhouse there is also a rest area with a large sunbathing area.

"Price and performance are the key factors here." says Sergei Dobroserdov, founder and CEO of Dynamiq. "There are so many 50-metre boats weighing less than 500 GT available on the market. So we asked ourselves what we could do differently for our customers. The answer was simple: a hull with fine water inlets, a long waterline length that is much more efficient and comfortable to sail. Rather than maximising the interior volume, we analysed, together with the naval architects, everything an owner wants or needs in terms of general layout and key elements on board. We came up with a 450 GT boat concept including the optional sky lounge which provides the sailing comfort of a 55 m yacht with a tulip bow. The GTT 165 is aimed at active owners who spend most of their time on deck outdoors and wish to discover different destinations, or cross the Atlantic quickly and enjoy endless summers in the Mediterranean and Caribbean on a more manoeuvrable and economical boat with a very attractive starting price of 24,400,000 euros"

Construction is expected to start at the end of the year with delivery scheduled for the beginning of the 2021 season in the Mediterranean.
