The Boot Düsseldorf is Europe's largest boat show on land. A must, with 17 halls offering a wide variety of water sports activities: sailing, motor, superyachts, sailing, diving... Bateaux.com takes you on a discovery of this exhibition of excess

Figures that speak for themselves

Every year, more than 2,000 exhibitors come to the Düsseldorf Boat Show to present their new products. The biggest boat show is above all the first show of the season (even if there is the London Boat Show at the beginning of January), but also the world premiere launches! No less than 50 novelties were presented as world premieres, both in the sailing hall and in the motor boat hall..

With nearly 250,000 visitors, 17 exhibition halls, the entire nautical sector represented, but also and above all the possibility of buying, the Düsseldorf "fair" attracts people from all over the world: Asia, America, Russia... and of course Europe (Belgium, France, Italy...). An asset for the numerous exhibitors.

Very large units, both sailing and motorized

The German living room is the one for big units. Even if Cannes and Monaco attract big superyachts every year, the Boot has a hall reserved for them: the 7th. Thus, all the major motoryacht manufacturers come there to show off their ever-growing units. Once again this year, Princess is exhibiting the largest model, the Princess 35 M, alongside international yards: San Lorenzo, Ferreti, Cranchi, Sunseeker, and Absolute..

On the sailing side, we're not outdone either with sailing boats over 22m like at Oyster Yachts. The presentations are sumptuous and "grandiose" as at Solaris, where the yachts are displayed on coloured "pebbles", or at Elan, where the GT 75 proudly sits in the middle of a pool... The only regret is that the units are displayed unmasted, due to the height of the halls... To be discovered in halls 15 to 17.

There are probably several reasons for these presentations. First of all, the purchasing power of boaters in the Nordic countries is higher than ours. But also by the infrastructures and the equipment of the German boat show, but also by the location which allows boats to arrive via the Rhine, up to 200 m from the show

An incredible diving pool

Hall 3 houses a very large diving pool where scuba diving enthusiasts are like fish in water. Here, everything is made for them to find their happiness: equipment, destinations, photographic equipment..

Diving is a big market for the Nordic countries, hence a dedicated hall with agencies specializing in diving trips, equipment manufacturers offering dedicated cameras and cameras ... Not to mention the fact that once again, at Le Boot you can buy ..

A magnificent surf wave

Hall 8 is for sliding! With an almost separate entrance, enthusiasts can go directly to the venue without having to go around the show. Right in the middle, a huge surfing wave - The Wave - attracts enthusiasts and professionals alike for frenzied demos. Everyone from the world of surfing is represented and everyone can leave with their board under their arm, looking forward to their next summer holidays in the middle of winter... Kite, wake, surf, paddle or windsurf... There is something for everyone...

A 90 m long river

In Hall 13, you can canoe on a... almost river... With your lifejacket on, on your canoe and paddle in your hand, you navigate quietly on this small winding (and completely artificial) waterway between fake trees and surrounded by a fake forest... A taste of the outdoors in the middle of an exhibition..
