The Düsseldorf Boot will open its doors from 20 to 28 January 2018, thus launching the start of a new nautical season. 1,916 exhibitors from 68 countries are ready to welcome you in the 16 Halls of the German boat show. This is an opportunity for shipyards to present numerous premieres, both in terms of boats and equipment. And the opportunity for the show to confirm its status as European leader with improvements and new products.

The Boot in Düsseldorf consists of 16 exhibition halls on an area of 220,000 m2. The onshore area covers all areas of boating, from motorboats to sailing, board sports, travel, schools and equipment. In the powerboat hall, all kinds of boats will be on display, from small inflatable tenders to the largest model at the show, the Princess 35 M. For sailing, there will be a wide range of boats, from small dinghies to large 60 to 70 footers.

The Hall 3 welcomes a new " Dive Center "This will be the centerpiece of the place and will resemble a Caribbean base. Since the beginning, this hall is intended for the diving and welcomes big stars of the field, but also major international manufacturers. Professionals and amateurs alike will discover the latest trends from the main suppliers of diving accessories and equipment. Newcomers to the field will also find all the advice they need to get started and will be able to learn the basics: how to fill oxygen tanks, put on a diving mask, prepare themselves... Before trying their hand with free loaner equipment in the pool.

In the Hall 4 The Water Pixel World and the theme "Love your ocean" will be the focus of this hall. In cooperation with the German Ocean Foundation, activities will be organized for children as well as for ocean lovers such as photo exhibitions or jewelry making workshops, all in favor of the defense of the ocean. A killer whale will even be installed in this hall to discover the sound waves that we usually hear in the ocean. This space will also be dedicated to relaxation and rest.

The rest of the hall will be occupied by tugs and sportboat type boats used for water skiing or wakeboarding.

The Hall 5, 6 and 7a will revolve around the luxury and will present luxurious tenders and yachts and superyachts luxury vessels up to 35 m. As well as equipment and furniture specifically developed for this type of vessel, exhibited in Hall 7a. Major international shipyards will be present in Hall 6: Azimut, Ferretti, Princess, Sunseeker and Monte Carlo.

The Hall 8a will bring together for the first time the entire universe of trendy sports within the space Beach World on a space of 13 000 m2. Here you can get advice, information or buy your products. With this expanded space, the demo pool is also getting longer, reaching 15 m in length, as is the wekabord cabin system, which has also been expanded.

The "Wave" the stationary wave, which attracts young surfers as well as international stars (Airton Cozzolino, Zane Schweitzer, Bernd Rosiger or Fiona Wylde who will be doing demos), has also been optimized for this large space.

The kite world will also be well represented with the presence of well known brands such as North Kiteboarding, ION, Airrush, Liquid Force or Brunotti and big stars of the field who will do demos and sign autographs. The swimming pool is getting bigger: 1 400 m2 to try the latest wakeboards and SUPs. The wakeboard world will not be left out either with specialized manufacturers: Liquid Force, Hyperlite, Follow, Brunotti and Ronix will present and sell their latest products. Professional wakeboarders from the Liquid Force team and Wasserski Langenfeld will perform every day. New for 2018, the windsurfing world will appear in the hall thanks to the extension of the pool (65 m long) which will allow freestyle windsurfers to demonstrate their skills. Finally, a part reserved for the world of foil will allow experts to answer questions: advantages, disadvantages, conditions...)

The Association of German Water Sports Schools (VDWS) will present a kite simulator hydraulically operated for beginner kiteboarders to try to jump out of the water by themselves.

The Hall 9 will fill up with motor boats and will feature a wide range with even more boats than in previous years and international manufacturers. Experts, such as the German Water Sports Industry Association and industry trade magazines will be available to give valuable advice on buying a new boat that even experienced boaters can benefit from.

The Hall 10 will be the place for beginners with an invitation to do a virtual tour by motorboat on the Rhine and many referrers for advice. Many small motor boats are also exposed there, in addition to the inflatable boats s, the jet skis and trailers.

You will also find inboard and outboard motors with the presence of international leaders such as Suzuki, Honda Yanmar, Volvo Penta (inboard motors) and Torqeedo (electric motors).

The Hall 11 will be that of the equipment in all its forms for all boats. In addition to navigation systems, radars and mast manufacturers, this hall will house harbor equipment, water sports clothing and the Refit Center.

The Hall 12 will be the place to do some shopping and relax - Beach Life stores - and the place where children will have fun with three bouncy castles, a circus tent, a big Viking boat, etc.

In the Halls 13 and 14 it will be " vacation atmosphere "AIDA, Germany's leading cruise company, will be exhibiting a cabin from one of its cruise ships. In the Hall 14 the "Classic Forum" exhibition will present classic and elegant boats like Boesch or Riva. The rest of the hall will be reserved for charter companies, sailing schools and rentals. Sailing enthusiasts will also be able to try out a few lessons on a small pool subject to large wind machines.

The Halls 15 to 17 will present many firsts in the sailing world This is especially true for 60- to 70-foot sailboats, with halls full of people. " We are currently experiencing substantial growth in the multihull segment. Stimulated by a real boom in yachting, interest in multihulls has also grown by leaps and bounds." explains Petros Michelidakis, general commissioner of the exhibition.
