The Marlin 24 SR, semi-rigid bowrider for sliding fans!

The Marlin 24 SR in its inboard version

After its world presentation in Genoa, the Marlin 24 SR made its French appearance at the Paris Boat Show. With its tangy colours and bow-rider deck layout, this 7.55 m long RIB exploded in the Parisian halls. Discovery of this novelty that will delight board sports fans, distributed in France by Selva Marine and for which we had a real crush.

The Marlin 24 SR is a 7.55 m long and 3 m wide semi-rigid with the special feature of a bow-rider bridge "It's the world's first semi-rigid bowrider. "We've found that there's a demand for this kind of configuration." explains Sébastien Chevalier, distributor of the brand in France. With its numerous seats and its very large sunbathing area, this inflatable is designed for both day sailing and water sports (especially with its acid colours!) thanks to its Wake tower.

Outboard version presented at the Nautic

With its 1300g/m2 Hypalon-Neoprene floats and its patented triple moulded hull developed specifically for this new model, the Marlin 24 SR does not kick and goes comfortably through the sea. "The hull is very rigid and there is no deformation along the length", explains Sebastien. The tyre is available in outboard and inboard and receives in sterndrive (inboard) a 250 or 300 HP petrol or 260 HP Diesel.

At the stern, the Marlin 24 SR has a beautiful bathing platform (with central bathing ladder) in the inboard version and two large platforms on the outboard version (presented in Paris), with an integrated bathing ladder on the starboard side. It then houses a very large sundeck facing the sea with a backrest adjustable in 3 positions. In the outboard version, there is a very large storage locker underneath. While in the inboard version, there is a side passageway to starboard for easy access to the cockpit.

Backrest in lying position

In the cockpit, there is a saloon with a U-shaped bench seat, which can be extended to port by adding a board and cushion between the aft bench seat and the co-driver's seat. The pilot's bucket seat swivels and the backrest of the co-pilot's bench tilts to create a large convivial space around the table (which is also removable and can be installed forward very easily).

The cockpit is positioned on the starboard side with a bolster seat, the bottom of which can be raised for upright operation. On the starboard side, the co-pilot seat lifts up to provide ample storage space, while the port console is equipped with a refrigerator. The cockpit is surrounded by a large windshield with a stainless steel upright and a central opening to pass over the bowrider. Both spaces can be completely closed by adding a plank on the central passage.

The bowrider is fitted with a U-shaped seat that quickly converts into a second very large bathing platform.

The finishes are meticulous (cup holders, backrests, armrests, stainless steel or optional solid teak flooring, optional roll-bar, choice of upholstery and colours) and the clever layout (tilting backrest, rotating seats), while moving around on board is easy. One appreciates the numerous lounging areas as well as the numerous storage spaces. The Marlin 24 SR is approved to accommodate 14 people on board.
