Bavaria C65, the largest sailboat ever built by the yard to be discovered in Düsseldorf

The Bavaria C65, flagship of the C series

Bavaria is showing off at Boot Düsseldorf (20 - 28 January 2018) with the launch of three new products. The C45 and the C50 were expected, but we will also discover the flagship of the range, the C65 (19.45 m). Visitors will therefore have the chance to discover the entire new C range (the C57 will also be on display), four models from 45 to 65 feet. But before that, let's discover together the characteristics of this great sailboat.

The flagship of the C range

"The C65 is the largest sailboat ever built by Bavaria. It is the new flagship of the shipyard. After the launch of the C57 in January 2017, the next logical step was to expand that product line by launching production of the 65-foot" explains François Renault, Sales Manager for France.

The C65 The 19.45-metre-long boat allows Bavaria to gain a foothold in the market for 55- to 75-foot sailing yachts. Built in infusion (hull and deck) and designed by the Italian firm Cossuti Yacht Design, this large yacht is aimed at customers looking for performance in terms of comfort and sailing "The C65 has an innovative design made by Cossuti. It is a high performance boat thanks to the infusion manufacturing technology. "The result is a lightweight and strong boat." details François Renault.

A connected sailboat

Bavaria has developed its Connected Boat System, thanks to the Bavaria Yacht iBoat system, which enables all the boat's functions to be grouped together on a single support. As an option, it is also possible to control certain functions from your smartphone, whether you are on board or outside. "We want to generalize this project and it's a standard feature on this range. It sums up Bavaria's new positioning: to offer much more to the customer" explains François Renault.

Numerous customization options

To satisfy owners of this type of unit, the German shipyard offers several customization options (three choices of wood and many choices of upholstery), but also several options for below-deck layout. "There's plenty of room for customization on this size of boat, which is purely for owners and not for charter." details François Renault.

The C65 has 3 to 4 cabins. In the first configuration, the owner's area is fitted out with a large bathroom, a large dressing room or an office. In the second version, part of the owner's space becomes a cabin with bunk beds. A skipper's cabin is offered in the forepeak.

Large living spaces

The large saloon has portholes (located very low on the hull) to benefit from a sea view. The particularity of this model is its separate galley installed on the bow, between the saloon and the owner's cabin. The outside galley will be used for meals in the cockpit.

As with other c range The main features of the range are a tender garage, a large bathing platform and therefore the cockpit galley. "The C65 has the equipment and evolutions of a 65-foot boat." develops François Renault.

The cockpit houses two large benches and two tables with a central passageway for access from the stern to the companionway. These two dining areas can be converted into a sunbathing area. There are also two other sunbathing areas under the boom at the entrance to the companionway.

Thanks to the winches grouped together at the rear of the boat and all manoeuvres brought back to the helm station, one can sail in complete autonomy (even if it is possible to have a skipper thanks to the cabin provided for this purpose at the front), but also free up the cockpit and have a real extra living space.
