Jubilee, the best superyacht of 2017

Jubilee

Jubilee the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands by Oceanco with a length of 110 m was recently launched and presented to the world at the Monaco Yacht Show 2017. Innovative in its design and design process, it has been awarded twice as the best superyacht of the year 2017. Discovery in pictures.

Jubilee is a 110 m (361 ft) superyacht built by the Oceanco shipyard and delivered in July 2017. She is the largest superyacht ever built by the shipyard, but also in the Netherlands. Since the launch of the project, it has been the talk of the town and has won two awards this year: Yacht of the Year (among yachts over 82 m) at the World Yacht Trophies and Best New Yacht of the Year at the Monaco Yacht Show.

It was the distinctive exterior design - created by Lobanov Design - that immediately appealed. With its six decks and its flowing blue horizontal lines, which are progressively longer, it creates a visual effect of a multi-layered platform. A new design in the world of yachting that creates a buzz. The interior is just as refined and was designed by Sorgiovanni Designs.

With a displacement of 4,500 tons and a width of 16.4 m (54 feet), Jubilee retains its elegant and noble lines. Aside from its boldly designed decks, note the large foredeck platform that accommodates a helipad (according to the Passenger Yacht Code). Aft, there is a swimming pool on the main deck with an integrated aquarium, visible from the swim platform on the lower deck.

The interior is spacious and richly decorated, offering accommodation for up to 30 people in 15 cabins including a private owner's deck.

It was Burgess who introduced the project to Oceanco by providing technical advice and managing the project throughout the construction process as the owner's representative. It is moreover a first in the world of yachting that a yacht is delivered turnkey, fully equipped on delivery, from the furniture to the decoration, including small equipment: tenders, water sports equipment, porcelain, crystal, silverware, table linen, sheets, cushions, carpets, etc..

Jubilee will be touring the western Mediterranean in the coming months, as Captain Roy Dance explains. "But after the Monaco Yacht Show, what's certain is that yachts can go anywhere in the world." Jubilee is currently on sale with the brokerage firm Burgess.
