Bic, Mistral, Jet are names that make something vibrate in you? These 80's windsurfing boards come back to life with a group of enthusiasts who meet regularly to sail around La Rochelle. Did you keep your old board in your garage? Join them!

It is a small group that has fun reviving the windsurfing boards of our beginnings. Nicknamed "La planche à la Papa" (Daddy's Windsurfing), it is a question of sailing on the windsurfing boards that participated in the development of this discipline in the early 80s (1980 of course!).

On the initiative of Fréd Eau of the Lhookipa La Rochelle association and Thierry Anton of Radio Notre Transat, the 10th session of "La planche à la Papa" took place on Sunday, August 20, 2017.

The riders gathered on the beach of Aytré, near La Rochelle (17). About ten boards of mythical brands such as Bic, Mistral, Dufour (with the famous Dufour Wind model) or Jet have gathered to take a few turns and even race!

An initiative that appeals to the good mood of the participants and that is repeated regularly. The next date has already been set: 10 September 2017, this time from La Rochelle on the hold of St Jean D'acre.
