A la carte propulsion and modular deck layout for the Omega 45

The Omega 45 from the Technohull shipyard in outboard propulsion, new for 2017

The Omega 45, a 45-foot semi-rigid, is the largest model from the Greek shipyard Technohull. Already available with inboard engines, it is now available as a triple outboard. Whether for family cruising or tender use, the performance promises to be outstanding.

Family cruise or luxury tender

Omega 45 is the largest semi-rigid model from the Greek shipyard Technohull, with a length of 45 feet (13.20 m). This luxurious model is very comfortable, with numerous sunbathing areas and a large central console housing a cabin. It is suitable as a main boat for a small cruise, as well as a tender for superyachts.

In fact, some of the world's leading shipyards have already chosen the Omega 45 for their unit thanks to its design and the customizable layout of the RIB. This is the case of the Admiral Yachts shipyard, which equipped the Ouranos, a 164-foot (50 m) superyacht, with this tender.

Quality and rigour of construction

The hull of the Omega 45 is constructed using infused fiberglass, carbon and epoxy resin. The socks (as standard) are made of ORCA 866 1670 dtex, ensuring the solidity of the semi-rigid. Burmese teak panels cover the floor of the boat and are installed in an innovative way by vacuum suction. The shipyard favours quality materials and a construction within the shipyard itself.

The Omega 41 has an overall length of 13.2 m and a width of 3.4 m and has a deep V-shape double-step hull shape, ensuring good performance in all weather conditions. The deck layout was designed by Greek designer Alexandros Liaskovitis (Milan), who gave the RIB a luxurious appearance and paid particular attention to detail.

A modular deck plan

The central element of the boat is its modern centre console, protected by a sporty t-top, which perfectly protects the four shock absorbing chairs in the cockpit. It can also accommodate solar panels. The cockpit is equipped with a state-of-the-art electronic console, from which all the on-board equipment can be easily controlled.

At the bow, there is a large storage area, covered with a large sunbathing area and a seat on the front of the console.

But it is at the stern that you can see the modularity of the deck plan, with different seating configurations according to the owner's wishes. There is a choice of four passenger seats (two benches one behind the other in the centre console), a galley with sink and stove (optional) and a very large U-shaped bench seat with table at the rear. Or, two passenger seats, a bench facing the sea, a straight bench seat and two large sunbeds at the rear with a central passageway to access the rear platform (in the case of the inboard). The console houses a cabin with a separate bathroom (w.c., shower).

Inboard or outboard, it's up to you

Several propulsion options are available, including an outboard version proposed in 2017. The owner will have the choice between 3x350 or 3x450 HP. The yard is currently studying the possibility of offering 3x400 HP. The Omega 45 thus equipped will be able to reach a maximum speed of 70 knots and a cruising speed of 43 knots.

For owners who prefer inboard motorization, the yard offers two options: 2X350 or 2X400 CH. According to Technohull, performance is also at the rendezvous in this configuration, with a maximum speed of over 56 knots and a cruising speed of 39 knots.
