A range of very fast customized yachts
Benetti is expanding its range of superyachts with a new design called Benetti Now Fast. The Benetti Now range offers personalised superyachts over 50 m, built in steel and aluminium. A range that aroused interest during its presentation at the Monaco Yacht Show 2016. Benetti is now doubling its offer by developing the "Now Fast" range, consisting of 3 models of 50, 56 and 68 metres.
The Fast project is aimed at all owners looking for a superyacht with the same volume and comfort as a displacement yacht, but with more speed. The main feature of the design is to guarantee all the comfort found in the displacement class, but with higher performance and speed (30% more). The Benetti Now Fast design combines the characteristic elegance of Benetti yachts with more aggressive and sporty lines and offers three different models: the BF164 (50 m), the BF184 (56 m) and the BF224 (68 m).
Each model will also have an X variant (BF164 'X, BF 184' X and BF 224 'X) with a raised wheelhouse (instead of the sundeck).
High-end design
For the design, the shipyard has surrounded itself with a team of internationally renowned engineers and designers. Omega Architects created the aggressive and dynamic contours of the yacht, while Mulder Design handled the naval architecture, creating a high-performance hull for fast, comfortable sailing. Finally, Team 4 Design - represented by Enrico Gobbi - worked on the interior design with Italian decoration.
On the performance side, Mulder Design has created a hull that retains the space and comfort of a displacement yacht while offering 30% more performance. The choice of steel hull, especially for the larger models, also ensures stability and reduces noise and vibration.
Another interesting feature of the range remains its reduced draught compared to displacement superyachts, while maintaining excellent sailing parameters.
The interior style of all the yachts in the range is contemporary and luxurious, yet sober. It retains the distinctive features of Italian design and enhances the capacity for life on board. The three models have been designed in different styles, which can be adapted and applied indiscriminately to each model.
Presentation of the three models of the range by the yard
The BF164 (50 m)
The interiors of the BF164 - the smallest model in the range - have been designed to be warm and balanced, with rounded, flowing lines and very few corners. This contrasts with various geometric elements such as the tables and bedside tables, to create a warm, harmonious and welcoming setting.
The dominant wood used is light oak, creating a contrast with the dark natural walnut used for the C-shaped window structures. The colours used for fabrics and furniture are discreet, ranging from beige and brown to dark grey.
The BF184 (56 m)
This yacht is designed for owners who love contrast, with an interior decor that is as formal as it is daring. Polished ebony is used as a counterpoint for the light oak walls, while the details are in shades of light grey.
The BF224 (68 m)
The BF224 is more "classic" with richly decorated shapes and surfaces, but still discreet and contemporary. The wood varieties are lighter, creating a contrast between the beige oak furniture and the almost white oak of the walls, while the colours are calibrated to work with the yacht's very original décor, which includes blue details.
Customization on request
These Benetti Now Fast superyachts offer a high level of customization in three different aspects of design:
- Interior and exterior design
- Different versions with a protected sundeck or a wheelhouse high up on the upper deck, or other customization
- Flexible design and engines with different performance levels
These superyachts - like their sisterships from the Benetti Now Fast range - will be built at the Benetti Livorno shipyard.
