Icom, a communications specialist, is offering the IC-M605Euro, a VHF that includes an AIS receiver. This high-end model will be the communication center of the boat.

This DSC model (with the Detress button to trigger an alert in case of danger) is equipped with an AIS receiver whose information is displayed on the color LCD screen. A GPS is also integrated in the case to limit the connections even if it requires an external antenna (delivered in series with the VHF).
This very high end model integrates 5 real independent receivers:
- one for the VHF
- one for the ASN on channel 70
- one for AIS channel 1
- one for the AIS 2 channel
- one for the GPS
It includes the latest functions developed by this electronics manufacturer, namely the recording of the last communication or the AquaQuake function for the ejection of water from the speaker. There is also the 90% noise suppression in transmission as well as in reception to clarify the communications, the bridge amplifier and the automatic foghorn integrated...
