This daring concept is called Revolution and was commissioned by an Israeli owner. It is inspired by the superyacht concept called Flow, and presented by the studio in 2015. This new project already meets the owner's wishes, but by mutual agreement with the architecture studio and the shipyard, they have pushed back the limits of this range of yachts. "47 m long and just under 500 GT, it houses no less than 7 cabins and 6 crew cabins, a 6 m long swimming pool, as well as an 8 m Limo tender and a 28 m2 gym. And that's just the tip of the iceberg!" details Marnix J. Hoekstra, one of Vripack's creative directors. "In addition, its technical structure is the crème de la crème, giving it excellent shipping capacity in terms of safety, reliability, comfort and durability. Several parts have not even been invented yet."

Vripack is widely known for its new approaches and ultra user-friendly configurations and this yacht does not disappoint. The guest cabins on the lower deck are directly connected to the crew cabins allowing quick and undisturbed access to services. A central staircase is reserved for both guests and crew. At the stern there is a counter-current swimming pool and a separate Jacuzzi. "As the owner is an experienced captain who enjoys sailing his yacht more than anything else, we have placed his quarters on the upper deck, with access to the cockpit. While his bathtub is in the starboard side wing with an unobstructed view both fore and aft through the large windows." The top deck houses a large gym and an adjoining bar.

The interior decoration has not really been revealed, except that it must correspond to the wishes of the owner, his wife and children who are looking for a place of sporting adventure. The boat has been designed to be able to travel all over the world and cross all the seas while providing the same comfort as at home.

In order to follow the global strategy, the shipyard in collaboration with the design team has created a diesel-electric powertrain, which to date is only available for larger yards. "The biggest advantage for owners is an engine compartment about 50% smaller than normal due to the efficient use of controls and electric pods. These Veth pods do not yet exist. Veth is inventing them as we speak." Another innovation will be the mooring system that will allow the boat to be moored without hooking up any lines or anchors.

"With Revolution, we've created a yacht that keeps you from moving on. It represents one of the most sought-after projects where form follows substance, embracing our holistic philosophy that leads to a more masculine exterior and softer interior with state-of-the-art naval architecture. Our creative signature to finely balance apparent contradictions such as the rough and soft is really well translated by the team in this yacht," concludes Marnix. We will have to wait until the summer of 2018 to discover this ambitious project.
