The Vendée Globe will start on November 6, 2016 embarking 29 skippers around the world for a race of several months solo, non-stop and without assistance. Here are some key figures on one of the mythical races in ocean racing.

83 is the number of skippers who have taken the start of the Vendée Globe during the first 7 editions

80 only two sailors have completed the Vendée Globe in less than 80 days, the mythical figure of Philéas Fogg: François Gabart and Armel Le Cléac'h in 2013.
