After the release of the W9 and W9i in 2014 and 2016 respectively, the Australian brand Wimbi Boats is preparing to introduce a new, smaller model for family customers. This 6.52 m model responds to the demands of boaters in the European market who appreciate the brand and its boats, but want a smaller (under 6.99 m) and less expensive RIB. Like the whole range, the W stands for "Wimbi" and the number that follows gives a close idea of the size.
The W6 euros which will be presented at the Grand Pavois in September 2016 euros has therefore been designed for coastal trips, still with this family spirit. It is aimed more at the northern and Atlantic market (Brittany, Charente-Maritime) and will be declined in a Fishing version (W6F). Both versions will have the same hull, only the equipment will be different.
The W6 has a pronounced V-shaped hull that ensures stability, balance and excellent sea passage. It will only be available in an outboard version (no W6i), which still allows for a powerful motorization of up to 200 HP.
The W6 is available with a Verado 1x150 HP or 1x200 HP engine. Like the rest of the range, it also offers a multitude of color customization options ranging from the hull, the Gelcoat deck, the tires and upholstery and even the covers.
The W6F, the Fishing version of the W6
The W6F will have many adaptations for fishing enthusiasts: livewell, a deck jet with a cutting table, a sonar/depth finder, rod holders, storage adapted to the fishing equipment. On the other hand, the deck will have fewer leisure accessories (saddlery).
The W6 is offered in 3 pre-equipped versions: Essential, Comfort & Luxury and will be sold for around 40,000 euros.
