2 possibilities :
If the boat is Frenchized
The seller sends the customs office of the vessel's home port a complete file including:
- a photocopy of a buyer's identity document
- the moose and a copy of the vessel's purchase invoice or bill of sale containing all the information relating to the vessel and its administrative situation (it must be covered by the Delegation for the Sea and the Coast if it concerns a vessel with an employed crew) ( see our model )
- the deed of francization and the title of navigation
- a proof of residence
- the pleasure card in the name of the buyer.
If the boat is not Frenchized
The seller sends Délégation à la mer et au littoral (formerly the Direction des affaires maritimes) a complete file including :
- the original of the francisation deed or circulation card
- a photocopy of a buyer's identity document
- the original invoice for the purchase of the vessel and/or the original deed of sale containing all the information relating to the vessel and its administrative situation (it must be endorsed by the Delegation for the Sea and the Coast if it concerns a vessel with an employed crew) ( see our model )
- the pleasure card in the name of the buyer.
