On January 5, during the London Boat Show, Musto âeuros marine clothing brand - launched a major contest to find young talent, called the Junior Sailor Search (#sailorsearch). Every year, the âeuros brand that holds a great place in the âeuros sailing world receives hundreds of sponsorship requests from young athletes. Musto has therefore decided to set up this contest to find the next ambassadors of the brand.
How to become an ambassador for Musto
This opportunity is offered to young people of 21 years old or less, coming from any sailing practice (Dinghy, Inshore or Offshore) and racing in any position. In return, the young athletes must have significant experience, particularly in competition. They will also be judged on their sportsmanship and commitment to sailing.
The grand prize winner will receive £5000 (6450 euros) in financial support and a one-on-one training session with one of Musto's prestigious ambassadors. Finally, he/she will benefit from a media exposure through the different social networks of the brand.

The finalists will be chosen by a jury composed of the following brand ambassadors, among others:
- Ian Walker, 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race winner and two-time Olympic silver medalist
- Charlie Enright, youngest Volvo Ocean Race helmsman
- Mark Towill, Team Manager of the Alvimedica team in the last Volvo Ocean Race and Melges 32 champion
- Richard Mason, silver medallist at the last European Championship in the 470, European champion for the under 21s in the 49er, best young sailor in the Solitaire du Figaro and winner of the best young sailor award in the Volvo Ocean Race
The 10 finalists selected by the jury will then be submitted to the public vote, which will determine the winner.
Winner announced in December 2016
The contest is open until August 30, 2016, and the finalists will be revealed on September 5, 2016. The public will be able to vote until 1 er december 2016 and the identity of the winner will be revealed on December 2, 2016. As a reminder, participants must be 21 years of age or younger as of Dec. 1, 2016 er january 2017.
