The Orient Nautic is a new and used boat show that takes place from April 8 to 10, 2016 at Lorient La Base. And as in 2015, the event will be coupled with the regatta of the Mini circuit, the Lorient Bretagne Sud Mini 6.50. A way to mix sailing and ocean racing.
The Orient Nautic was born in 2012, at the initiative of volunteers, professionals of the nautical industry, grouped under the Association of Nautical Professionals of Lorient (APNL). Since then, the show has expanded and offers new services, such as the sale of used boats by individuals, in place for two years. For this 4th e edition, 66 professional exhibitors will be present, all fields combined, on the new and used market.
The entire nautical sector represented
The Lorient boat show is held at Lorient La Base and covers all sectors of the nautical industry. Thus, visitors can move around 5 thematic villages: Motorboating, Sailing & Services, Offshore Racing, Occasions, Animations & Nautical Stadium.

Even if boat sellers are the most present (about ten exhibitors), the objective is to have the whole nautical sector represented: water sports, cruising schools, boat rental companies, fishermen, equipment manufacturers, sail makers, service providers, clothing, etc.

The local dealers will be present at the show to present the novelties of the major brands, both for sailing and motor (open hull, semi-rigidâeuros¦), in monohull or catamaran: Jeanneau, Bénéteau, RM, Dufourâeuros¦ The show is more slightly motor oriented (60%) than sailing (40%) and in total, 160 boats will be exhibited both on land and in the water, with possible trials.

Animations for all ages
For three days, visitors will also be able to participate in free animations. In 2016, the show will be located behind the Cité de la voile Tabarly with a climbing lighthouse, urban stilts, electric skatesâeuros¦ For thrill-seekers, an inflatable structure will be installed near the docks to perform jumps of over 7 m.

In the water, the nautical stadium will offer initiations to paddle, mini-drifters and other mini-catamarans as well as demonstrations of Flyboard.

An event coupled with a regatta
The Lorient Bretagne Sud Mini regatta takes place the same weekend as the Orient Nautic, with a departure on April 9th from Lorient La Base. And for this third edition, the record of participation was reached with 76 crews (the race is double-handed) registered, that is to say 152 sailors ready to sail 150 miles on the Mini 6.50.
