Tom Dosland's impressive fall on the Jaws wave (Hawaii)

On January 27, 2016, Hawaiian surfer Tom Dosland fell on the Jaws wave in Hawaii. This vertiginous wipe-out of several meters high allows him to enter the"Big Wave Awards" of the WSL (World Surf League).

Storm El Nino caused another XXL swell in North Shores, Hawaii on January 27, 2016. While the monstrous waves prevented 11-time world champion Kelly Slater from jumping into the water, but also Ross Williams, as well as some inhabitants of the North Shore, Tom Dosland could not resist the temptation.

Standing on his board, ready to face the giant waves breaking towards the beach of Peahi, on the island of Maui, he finds himself on the lip of a huge wave. As the American surfer begins to surf, he is victim of a wipe out (fall in the impact of a wave) in the trough of the wave, head first, before finding himself trapped in the tube. The scene was filmed by Bruno Lemos, and puts Tom Dosland in the"Big Wave" ranking of the World Surf League.
