How do you land a helicopter on a superyacht?

Owning a helicopter when you own a superyacht is quite common since it makes it easier to get around and to reach your boat, even on the open sea. But how does an open sea landing work? Here are two videos that will satisfy your curiosity.

When you are a rich superyacht owner, you can have the luxury of having the helicopter that goes with it. Many yachts are now equipped with a helicopter runway. Thus, going to the city for a walk or a few races becomes easy and fast, even lost in the middle of the sea.

In the first video, the scene is filmed from the yacht. The helicopter can be seen approaching the yacht and turning around before slowly descending to the helipad to land. The yacht is in full navigation and does not slow down its speed, which can be challenging. But a moving yacht is less subject to rolling than a yacht at anchor. Finally, the speed of the boat generates additional lift for the helicopter. The pilot gradually lowered the helicopter before flying over the helipad and landing perfectly.

In the second video, the scene takes place from the helicopter, filmed from the cockpit. This time the helicopter joins a yacht at anchor and gradually descends towards the helipad before landing with disconcerting ease, without jerks
