Boot Dusseldorf

The Dusseldorf Boot will open its doors from Saturday 23 January to Sunday 31 January 2016. The first international boat show of the year, it is also one of the most important. This is proof of this with more than 1700 exhibitors in 17 halls.

With the motto "360° of water sports", the Boot will show the range of activities that can be practiced on or under water. Thus, lovers of all kinds of water sports, lovers of sailing boats and motorboats, divers, surfers, wakeboarders or fishermen will be able to find the universe that concerns them, among the 20 "themes and adventures" represented.

A complete nautical representation

"The Dusseldorf Boot is an international trade fair that the entire industry and its enthusiasts look forward to every year in January. We will be able to welcome more than 1,700 exhibitors from 60 different countries to Düsseldorf and we will once again be the market leaders in all the sectors represented" explains Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of the Boot Düsseldorf.

The Boot is one of the largest representations of boats in the world, with more than 1700 boats, sail and motor boats. 9 of the 17 halls are dedicated exclusively to this universe and offer a complete range of vehicles for going on the water, from sailing boats to motor boats, from canoes to rowing boats.

"The shipbuilding industry is very well represented with a unique and varied selection of 440 exhibiting shipyards. In addition to the latest high-tech developments with lighter and more sophisticated environmental materials, high quality classic and exclusive boats. All this plays an important role in our exhibition concept. The market leaders in the field of sailing and motor yachts are particularly well represented at Boot Düsseldorf 2016, with their complete range of products in all sizes and ranges" explains the exhibition director.

International exhibitors

47% of the exhibitors, or 800 participants, come from outside Germany, which represents 50% of the exhibition area. We naturally find countries where water sports are a way of life such as the Netherlands, France and Great Britain. But also the Eastern Caribbean such as the Windward Islands (West Indies), present for the first time, where exotic destinations such as Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique..

A complete range of motor boats

At the Düsseldorf Boot, all motor boats are represented, from 2.5 HP to 5000 HP of the luxury yacht. While beginners are more interested in small engines, luxury is also represented as with the Princess brand. 250 distributors and importers will present almost the entire international market and will be spread over 6 halls with pleasure boats, day cruisers and cabin cruisers, in all price categories.

International market leaders will exhibit in Hall 4, including German Bavaria, French Jeanneau and Bénéteau, Italian Cranchi and Swedish Nimbus. Bénéteau and Jeanneau will also present their outboard models in Hall 9. The American group Brunswick will also be exhibiting its Sea Ray, Bayliner and Quiksilver brands in Hall 9.

Luxury yachts featured in Hall 6

Hall 6 was quickly sold out. " It is amazing how quickly manufacturers responded positively with firm bookings many months in advance. This shows that we have visitors in Düsseldorf attracted by these luxury yachts. And exhibitors greatly appreciate this target thanks to their purchasing power and their search for development" explains Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel.

Around 60 luxury yachts - boats and tenders - will be on display. Compared to last year, the offer will be even wider with yachts between 20 and 25 m in length. Jeanneau and Bénéteau are also making their debut in Hall 6 with the Prestige range for the first and the Monte-Carlo range for the second. Azimut, Sunseeker and Princess will always have a prominent place in the lobby.

The Superyacht Show in Hall 7 will be the place where everyone will want to be, if you are interested in large luxury units. 70 companies will be present to inform visitors about exclusive yacht building projects.

Kitesurfing, wakeboard, skimboard, wakeskate or stand-up paddle... All the current sporting trends will be present in the "Beach World", Hall 1. Diving enthusiasts will meet in Hall 3. A total of 350 exhibitors will be present in Hall 3, dedicated to recreational diving.
