Thalassa celebrates its 40th anniversary

On the occasion of his 40th birthday, Thalassa is releasing a beautiful book with 40 photo reports.

On Friday 20 November 2015, the Thalassa programme was on France 3 throughout the evening. It was celebrating its 40th anniversary that day.

On this occasion, she produced a book entitled "La mer et les Hommes" which looks back on 40 years of reporting. For this, the team led by Georges Pernoud has selected 40 reports illustrated with strong images that take us on a surprising journey.

Like the show that can take us from one container to another, from one sea to another, this book takes us from the ice of Antarctica to the Polynesian atolls, from Dunkirk with its industrial wharves to the Scandola reserve in Corsica with its red cliffs populated by birds of prey.

While the photos are beautiful, the texts are precise and informative. Like a television report, this book informs us (or teaches us) about the details that make up the richness of the coastlines.

You don't have to be a showbiz lover to enjoy walking around in this beautiful book. But that doesn't mean it's free. It can be leafed through and discovered in a timeless way. A bit like this show which for 40 years has never tired of making us discover the sea and men.
