The Nautical Festival, as its name indicates, is a big national event organized all over France. On the coasts, the rivers or inland waters, many events will be organized to make you discover water sports and leisure activities, alone or with your family. It will also be an opportunity to meet the different actors of the sector (clubs, schools, nautical bases, associations, institutions, territorial collectivities, marinasâeuros¦).
Discover a water sports activity
The activities are organized by department, in each region, which you will be able to find on the website of the nautical festival. More than 400 sites take part in the operation, distributed in 85 departments. Depending on the location, you will be able to practice and discover many activities and water sports such as scuba diving, sailing, canoeing, motor boating, paddle, water skiing, windsurfing, surfing and many others. Whether you are young or old, professional or amateur, novice or experienced, you will be able to access the activity of your choice for free, or for a small fee if you need specific equipment. In all, there are 25 water sports that you can discover during the Nautical Festival and each year, nearly 300,000 visitors and 240,000 participants come to the festival.
Attend many animations
The Nautical Festival is also an opportunity to attend many events. You will be able to see demonstrations, boat parades, go for a ride on the water, attend exhibitions, open days or concerts or visit boatsâeuros¦

Whether you want to stay at home or go away for the weekend, you will find an activity to practice. To find the events organized near your home, or further away, go to the website of the Nautical Festival, in the event tab. Choose your department, or your activity and you will find the corresponding activities or places. Next to each place, pictograms indicate which activities will be practiced.
