Green Voyager, a luxurious navigation with green energies

The Green Voyager is a 44m superyacht from Kingship designed to operate with Rina Green technology. She is the first yacht under 50 meters to be equipped with this technology for sustainable sailing.

The Green Voyager is an innovative 44-meter hybrid-powered superyacht concept that combines luxury and comfort with environmental responsibility. Designed by Horacio Bozzo of Axis Group Yacht Design, it is the first yacht in the world, under 50 meters, to feature Rina Green technology. This means that the Green Voyager is the most energy efficient and lowest carbon emitting yacht in the world. It was designed according to the highest level of Rinaâ??s Green Plus Platinium rating.

Its innovative design is reflected in its vertical bow and full-height windows, both of which help reduce energy consumption. Its 600 kWh (kilowatt hour) lithium battery reserve is enough to support charging devices in complete silence for greater comfort at night.

The Green Voyager is designed for owners who are looking for a low impact cruising yacht. Those looking to sail responsibly, without compromising on luxury and comfort on board. The advanced hull design is ultra-efficient (the waterline length is 99% of the total length.) This maximizes propulsion efficiency by 16-18% and substantially increases interior volume. The superyacht has a cruising speed of 13.5 knots and a top speed of 16 knots.

Navigate sustainably

It has an intelligent power management system, automated power control and load control, which allows for efficient management of fuel and power requirements. The size of the generator is reduced by 40% and unlike yachts of this size that are typically equipped with 2x100kW-110kW generators, the Green Voyager has 2x65kW. Low voltage LED lights power the entire yacht with almost no heat generation. Its cooling system saves energy as does its heat recovery system for hot water. Finally, the reflective glazing cuts out the sun's rays and keeps the interior of the yacht cool, reducing the use of air conditioning and thus saving even more energy, as do the large deck spaces and the many full-height windows, which ventilate the interior by creating an indoor/outdoor space.

A technological shell

The displacement hull of the Green Voyager is perfected with a double vertical bow cutout. The main underwater parameters and geometry required extensive study and testing for exceptional performance. Its low waterline and hull geometry reduce pressure disturbances and minimize wave resistance. Its specially shaped bow, with deep and narrow forward sections, reduces slamming while sailing and allows a smooth passage through the waves. All these aids reduce resistance and therefore increase speed by improving energy consumption. This full hull not only provides a styling effect, but also an example of future design needs.

Absolute comfort

The technology aboard the Green Voyager is invisible and seamlessly integrated into the amenities. The design also allows sea lovers to connect with the environment through innovative use of light and full-height sliding glass doors in the open-air salon, main salon and dining room. The sundeck allows you to enjoy the sun, or the shade, with automated awnings. The upper deck allows you to have your meal in the open air and at the front a lounge allows you to rest. It is quite rare to find a lounge area in this location (at the front) on a yacht of this size. The rail folds back to improve the view of the horizon and to take advantage of the tropical breezes. All of this extends life on board even further outward. Green Voyager offers the experience of 5 star luxury in a classic yacht.
