First edition of the Monaco Yacht Show Awards

The Monaco Yacht Show closed its doors this Saturday, September 26, and this is the opportunity to look back at a rather special ceremony that took place the day before the opening of this 24th edition of the MYS.

A ceremony to highlight the prestige of the event

This 24th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, which took place from September 23 to 26, 2014 welcomed in its midst the top of the luxury yachting, shipbuilders, designers and brokers, without forgetting the many boats all more prestigious than the others. It was also the occasion to launch for the first time, the Monaco Yacht Show Awards to reward the best superyachts. It was held the day before the launch of the MYS at the Monaco Yacht Club and was to reward, among others, the best interior design, the best exterior design and the most outstanding superyacht of the MYS 2 014.

Among the nominees were Como , Entourage , Equanimity , Grace E , Polaris or Solandge .

Five boats rewarded

Gaëlle Tallarida, the show's general manager, presented the opening ceremony of the 24th Monaco Yacht Show, in the presence of the Minister of State of Monaco, who awarded the Monaco 2 014 Trophy to the project under construction Yersin a ship dedicated to scientific and environmental research missions A.S.E (Adventure âeuros Science âeuros Education).

The Best Interior Design Award has been awarded to the new superyacht Grace E by Perini Navi. This 73-meter long yacht belongs to the Perini Navi-Picchiotti series and was realized in collaboration with the designer Rémi Tessier.

The Best Exterior Design Award was given to Solandge a 85.5-meter motor yacht from the Lürssen shipyard whose lines were designed by Espen Oeino.

The Best Launch Award 2 014 exhibited at MYS was awarded to Equanimity a brand new 91.5 meter megayacht from Oceanco shipyards.

Finally, the Green Plus Yacht Award from RINA returned to the superyacht Entourage for its construction respecting the environmental standards of the Italian classification society RINA.
