For the 8MJI, 6MJI and 5.5MJI, the 2026 season promises to be built like a circuit, with a common thread: the Metric Challenge. Between Quiberon, Concarneau, Quiberon Bay and the open sea towards Finistère, the program combines coastal regattas, classic meetings and fleet logistics.
Opening in Quiberon Bay: two dates in mid-May
The season opens from May 14 to 17, 2026 in Quiberon Bay and the Gulf of Morbihan, between Le Crouesty and Le Bono, with the Open de France Métrique and the 2nd edition of the Mor-Braz-Cup. The leg counts towards the 2026 Metric Challenge and brings together the 8MJI, 6MJI and 5M classes (during the Voiles Classiques du Morbihan, YCCA / CNLB).
A busy heart of the season: Bénodet, La Trinité, then on to Brest and Douarnenez
The circuit continues with the Rendez-vous de la Belle Plaisance in Bénodet from June 19 to 21, 2026 (8MJI, 6MJI, 5.5MJI), a stage in the Challenge. On the 8MJI side, a Trophée Carl de la Sablière is announced.
The La Trinité-sur-Mer stage, from July 11 to 14, 2026, moves up to four days of regattas. The program includes the 2nd edition of the "Régates du Centenaire des JO de 1924 âeuros Coupe Louis Breguet" (8MJI and 6MJI), as well as several dedicated classifications: Trophée Franck Guillet (8MJI), Coupe Georges le Botelanne (6MJI) and Trophée Hauvette(5,5MJI). The organization also points out that this stage will mark the anniversary of the 12MCR HALLALI and Franck Guillet.
After mid-July, the metrics shift to Finistère with the Hoalen Brest Douarnenez Classic, from July 20 to 25, 2026 (8MJI and 6MJI). The 8MJI provides for a grouped delivery to Brest, before the regattas and the junction with Douarnenez, announced as a festive highlight of the sequence.
Finally, the end of the season will see Voiles de Légende in La Baule from July 31 to August 4, 2026 (8MJI, 6MJI), followed by the Classique de Noirmoutier from August 7 to 9, 2026 (8MJI, 6MJI, 5.5MJI), the last leg of the 2026 Metric Challenge.
