Quick Reef Solution (QRS) from Rutgerson, to limit friction at reefing

Rutgerson's Quick Reef Solution (QRS) optimizes reefing with an innovative, easy-to-install ring designed to reduce friction. Find out more about its technical features and the benefits it brings to sailors.

Designed for simplicity and performance

With the QRS, Rutgerson offers an innovative alternative to traditional reefing rings. Made up of two parts screwed together, the QRS eliminates the need for straps. It is easily installed on an existing stainless steel ring. This design optimizes weight distribution on the sail and makes installation easier for both amateur and experienced sailors.

Flexible and customizable reefing lines

One of the strong points of the QRS is its modularity. Boaters can choose to position the reefing lines on the starboard or port side, or both. This system also offers the possibility of quickly changing sides as required, a valuable asset for spreading rope wear.

A technical innovation to reduce friction

The QRS ring is treated with Teflon-impregnated anodization, guaranteeing an ultra-smooth surface and a significant reduction in friction. Combined with a wider radius for the reefing line than traditional stainless steel rings, the system improves handling fluidity and reduces wear on the equipment.

The right size

The QRS is available in 3 sizes depending on the diameter of the ring to be fitted: 15, 23 or 30 mm. Maximum loads range from 1590 to 2500 kg. Each model is designed to adapt to web reinforcements of varying thicknesses, from 1 mm to 8 mm depending on configuration.
