The Classic Channel Regatta returns for another edition in 2024, offering an unrivalled experience for lovers of classic yachts and regattas. Held every two years since 2011, this iconic race brings together passionate crews from Britain, France and beyond to celebrate the spirit of classic sailing.

A prestigious course: Dartmouth, St Peter Port, Paimpol
The regatta begins on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 with crew registration and a welcome cocktail at the Royal Dart Yacht Club. On July 18 and 19, the Dartmouth Classics regattas offer intense competition followed by prize-giving ceremonies and convivial dinners. On Saturday July 20, the yachts start the first leg of the Classic Channel Race to St Peter Port, arriving on Sunday July 21 for an evening in Guernsey.

The finish in Paimpol: a classic sailing celebration
Monday, July 22 marks the start of the second leg to Paimpol, with a spectacular parade of boats entering the lock under the Grand Pavois. Crews have a rest day on Tuesday, July 23, to explore Paimpol and the surrounding area. On Wednesday, July 24, the regattas around the Ile de Bréhat and the picnic will be followed by the traditional "Danse des Classiques", a convivial and festive moment.

A unique atmosphere: between competition and conviviality
The Classic Channel Regatta is distinguished by its relaxed, friendly atmosphere, described as "gentleman's racing". Participants can choose to be as competitive or as relaxed as they like, thanks to the JCH Classic Handicap system, which is simple and free to obtain. Yachts designed before the end of 1968, as well as certain designs approved up to 1974, are eligible to participate.
Festivities ashore: a rich and varied program
In addition to the regattas, a full program of onshore festivities is planned, focusing on the Westcountry and Breton atmosphere. Crews and visitors alike will enjoy dinners, cocktails, barbecues and prize-giving ceremonies, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
