Seldén aluminum spinnaker poles
Seldén aluminum spinnaker poles allow you to pitch your symmetrical spinnaker or genoa downwind to stabilize it effectively. They can also be used to stabilize a full downwind gennaker if you're scissor-sailing. The end fittings are designed to facilitate the use of your spinnaker pole, with bevelled triggers for effortless clipping of the spinnaker pole jaw onto its ring. The spinnaker pole jaws (up to Ø90) have a composite body to optimize weight, and stainless steel reinforcements in the stress zones to counter all stresses. Their carefully rounded shape avoids any risk of damage to the sails. Symmetrical composite automatic trigger fittings are also available for some of our sections. Seldén offers symmetrical spinnaker pole fittings, or bayonet-type fittings for gybing the spinnaker pole under the forestay on larger sections.
Seldén spinnaker pole tubes feature internal reinforcements to effectively lock the jaws in place without forcing them, and to increase their strength for equivalent cross-sections. They also feature anti-drag guards to prevent damage to forestay or shrouds.
Aluminium telescopic poles
Seldén telescopic spinnaker poles allow you to adjust your spinnaker pole to different lengths, to better suit the type of sail you're using. Two tubes slide into each other, with several adjustment notches. For example, you can fully extend your spinnaker pole to pitch your downwind genoa in light airs. On the contrary, reduce its length to fit a smaller sail, such as to pitch your staysail or partially furled genoa in strong winds, using an intermediate position to offset your symmetrical spinnaker. What's more, when fully folded, the reduced footprint makes it easier to find a place on deck for storage.
Carbon spinnaker poles
Lightness is a major advantage of carbon outriggers. Compared to aluminum spinnaker poles, they offer a significant reduction in weight without compromising strength. For example, a Ø 99 aluminum spinnaker pole measuring 5 meters weighs 16.9 kg, while its equivalent weighs just 9 kg. This weight difference greatly improves maneuvering speed and plays an important role in crew safety. Our carbon outrigger kits can be fitted with symmetrical or bayonet jaws.

Seldén retractable bowsprit
