NKE NavXP, a touch screen map reader

Missing from the NKE range, the chartplotter is now available in 3 sizes. An eagerly-awaited addition to the product range of this Breton marine electronics manufacturer.

NKE, a French manufacturer of embedded electronics, launches a plotter to complete its range. This manufacturer, which until now was advocating keyboards, has chosen an all-touch device for its card reader.

Three screen sizes

This chartplotter is available in 3 sizes, 10, 12 and 16 inches, and works with Navionics cartography. It has a software adapted to sailing, with wind pages and AIS targets clearly visible. This is the first version, but it will evolve rapidly.

Always connected

The advantage of the product is that it updates itself directly when it is within range of Wifi, or a shared connection, and even has a slot for a SIM card. If it is equipped, it serves as a WiFi access point for the entire boat.

The developments focused on simplicity of use, with the most basic interface possible. No deep menus or hidden details, the use of this plotter must remain within the reach of all.

Features for entertainment

On the gadget side, this plotter integrates an FM/DAB Tuner as well as a Bluetooth connectivity to send your music on it. You will have to connect it to the speakers on board. This unit operates on a NMEA 2000 network and can receive a Raymarine radar via its Ethernet connection.

An attractive price

If the price of the 10 inches, 3000 euros, is not too competitive, this plotter becomes interesting in 12 inches, 3 600 euros, and very interesting in 16 inches at 4 800 euros (all prices include VAT). Note that a 24 inches can also be ordered at 12 000 euros.
