Closing of the Sailorz Festival at the Grand Rex in Paris on March 9, 2023
Since February 26, 2023, the Sailorz Film Festival has been taking place all over France. After a tour of Brittany, the south of France and even the north and east, the first competitive sailing festival will end on a final date in Paris. On March 9, the Grand Rex will welcome the top sailors for a 3-hour session, during which 4 films will be screened. Among them, the feature film on the Vendée Globe by Thomas Ruyant, 29 173 nautical miles.

An immersion around the Globe
Thomas Ruyant is one of the headliners of the IMOCA class and the author of a great race around the world in 2020-2021. Thanks to a camera system, it was possible to film the ordeal experienced by the skipper. It is this adventure that was highlighted by the artist and video artist and composer Molécule and his co-director Vincent Bonnemazou.
"There are three types of men on earth: the living, the dead and those who go to sea..."
29,173 nautical miles: that's the distance Thomas Ruyant has sailed around the world alone at the helm of his boat during the Vendée Globe. On November 8, 2020, the skipper will embark on the famous race with an innovative image and sound recording device.
29,173 NM offers a unique immersion at his side, transcended by the magnetism and chaos of the natural elements. An intense crossing, an organic journey close to man and his machine. An extreme sound and visual experience, orchestrated by the video artist and composer Molécule associated with the director Vincent Bonnemazou.
