The amphibious semi-rigid Sealegs launches into cabin cruisers

Sealegs, which manufactures amphibious RIBs, is unveiling its first model with a cabin, the 12 m Cabin Rib. With a length of 11.7 m, it is available in several versions, for a versatile program.

A cabin for Sealegs

The Sealegs 12m Cabin Rib features the same amphibious system as the rest of the line. Equipped with large tires and a 94 horsepower engine, it allows for easy movement between land and sea. New, this model offers a completely closed cabin and 500 L fuel tanks to consider the cabotage in family.

The possibility of sailing with your family

The new 12-meter RIB can be customized for both professional and recreational use. Thus, in the cruising version, it offers a small kitchen with sink, stove, refrigerator and oven, with a saloon opposite and up to 4 berths and a toilet. Its cabin is totally glazed and accessible from a sliding door in the cockpit. Ventilation is provided by two electric roof hatches. A total of 9 people can board in the pleasure version from the retractable boarding platform.

40 knots maximum speed

The Sealegs 12m Cabin RIB is also the most powerful in the lineup, with two outboard engines on its transom with 400 or 425 horsepower. Featuring Sealegs' System 100 large format amphibious technology, the RIB has 9,000 Newton meters of torque delivered by all land drive wheels via its hydraulic wheel motors. Top speed on land can reach 8 km/h and top speed on water approaches 40 knots.

The first model is currently under construction at the Auckland facility and is expected to be launched by late summer 2022.
