Take Care : an optimization of the boat all year long
Regatta enthusiasts, like those on the IRC, invest every year in the maintenance and improvement of their boats. To do this, they often call on the services of aspiring skippers, designers and other preparers, who are not always available all year round. To simplify the management for these owners of these multiple small jobs, which range from maintenance and seamanship to the installation of hardware or electronics, Dream Racer Boat launches a new offer, called Take Care. The shipyard takes care of this work directly in the port, all year long, thanks to an annual maintenance and optimization contract of the boat.
An annual budget for the boat
To best fit the program, a personalized package is put in place. "We adapt the package to each client according to their annual budget. On this type of boat, customers usually know how much they spend on their boat each year. We define that, with a percentage for Dream Racer Boats. Then we regulate the choice of work to meet the needs of the customer. Obviously for each important operation, we send an estimate to the customer so that he can check the budget" explains Thibaud Ramond, manager of the company.
Develop and install custom fittings and fixtures
To best meet the needs of owners, Dream Racer Boats relies both on the existing equipment it installs and on the products it develops in-house. It can thus offer new lazy jacks as well as a textile seat adapted to the boat's cockpit.
The shipyard has recently strengthened its design office, enabling it to design semi-custom products adapted to its customers. For example, it has designed a kit allowing the installation of a delphinière on Figaro 1s or chart tables for Figaro 2s. The annual optimization offer benefits from the feedback of refits performed by Dream Racer Boats.
The offer has already attracted 4 owners by word of mouth and should interest the pool of amateur sailors who lack the time to take care of their boats.
