Rand Boats emphasizes onboard comfort and relaxation with the Escape 30

Escape 30 from Rand Boats

Rand Boats continues to expand its lineup year after year, since the launch of its "Picnic Boat" in 2015. After the addition of cabins and the evolution in size of its boats, the manufacturer presented its largest model at Cannes, in September 2021: the Escape 30, the first of the Discovery range.

First model with hard-top

The Escape 30 is a 9.25 m open hull with a cabin to spend a night (or more on board). Its deck plan with its central console offers several living areas to enjoy a day on board in comfort. Its design, although robust - the Escape 30 is imposing on the water, especially with a very high bow - remains elegant with clean lines. It features a large rigid glass hardtop, directly in line with the windshield, a first for the Danish shipyard.

Sunbathing and lunch area

At the back, a large sunbathing area for 3 persons overhangs a beautiful bathing platform, for a direct access to the sea. The backrest of the sunbathing area is shared with the bench of the saloon which faces the table. A second bench opposite allows you to enjoy a meal at the table. Its removable backrest can also be transformed into a passenger bench facing the sea.

A large central cockpit

The cockpit is very large, capable of accommodating two 12-inch screens or one large 16-inch screen. It is protected by a windscreen extended by a large rigid hard top. The driver's compartment has a double bench seat with a removable seat in the front and cup holders, a storage box and a refrigerator in the back. A unique design, the sink is integrated on the port side and is directly available to passengers, whereas it is usually hidden on most boats.

A bridge that is easy to move around on

The foredeck, accessible from two steps, is very large and hosts a comfortable deck saloon with three benches that occupy the space of the "U" leaving the center free.

The deck space is well designed and it is easy to move around on board the Escape 30, especially via the gangways, which are well defended by the height of the bulwarks. A total of 12 people can be accommodated on board the boat.

A cabin to rest

Below deck, a double cabin with a small separate toilet - where the headroom allows standing room - will be suitable for a night on board or will be used for a nap or for stowing things.

Propulsion à la carte

Many design elements are customizable, as is the propulsion, electric or thermal. As an option, customers can choose between an electric motor from 105 to 460 kW with a battery from 47 to 234 kWh. The outboard or inboard thermal propulsion with sterndrive base (diesel or gasoline) ranges from 350 to 600 hp. The maximum speed of the boat is 50 knots, which makes the Escape 30 also a sporty boat. It remains to be tested how it behaves at sea.
