Special Edition / Amiaud, for the fishing customization of all boats

With modular solutions, Amiaud offers fishermen to equip their boat while keeping the possibility to use it for other purposes. Discover a very complete range.

The use of our boats is changing. We like to have a boat to go out with our family, to relax or to pull the children on a buoy. But this same boat must also be able to take a group of friends on a fishing trip. The same goes for renting a boat for both fishermen and families in summer. What to do when you can't afford a boat for each use?

The French manufacturer of accessories Amiaud offers a combination of possibilities to transform its unit into an evolving boat. Removable rod holders, adjustable brackets for electronic devices, seat with integrated fridge, etc., are all solutions to fully customize your boat.

All accessories are manufactured, mainly in stainless steel, in the factory based in Vendée. They are designed by fishermen, developed by the design office and made on site. A know-how which ensures a quality of manufacture and a proximity with the users, appreciable nowadays.

Modular rod holders

When fishing, trolling or even fishing, it is necessary that your boat is equipped with many rod holders. Amiaud has invented clamps that can be attached to all the tubes on board. From the handrails around the windshields (usually 20 to 25 mm), to the T-Tops (between 38 and 50 mm) and also to the bars (55 to 65 mm). The laser-cut stainless steel flanges can accommodate from one to six rod holders. Small details such as the hole for securing with a Leach or for blocking the hook when the rod is in standby show the practical side of the product designed by fishermen above all.

If your boat is also required to take your family on a picnic in the middle of summer, you will opt for a slide-in installation. The cane holder slides onto a Teflon base. Once the rod holder is unloaded, this base is no longer in the way in the cockpit. This system is also appreciated by fishermen who can install narrow or wide rod holders depending on the type of fishing. The larger rod holders are designed to support large reels for tuna fishing.

This same flange system can be adapted to receive the brackets of electronic devices. For example, a handset can be mounted on the side of a console, roll bar or t-top and rotated so that it is visible from the front of the boat. This kit is also adaptable on a RAM support.

For the comfort in navigation

Amiaud has also thought about the comfort part with its bolster. The Leaning Post, which can be installed on a RIB as well as on an open hull, contributes to the comfort of the crew while sailing. But when the time comes to anchor, the fridge that can be adapted underneath (a Webasto model) will also be appreciated with its cold drinks. Fishermen will also be pleased to know that they can keep their fish fresh after a day of fishing.

If this bolster is available in white (in addition to the black color), Amiaud also thinks of its personalization. Simply by covering the metal sheets (powder-coated stainless steel) with a printed film. This covering can take all forms and all extravagances. Probes in the spotlight

Much more technical, but meeting many expectations of recreational fishermen, Amiaud offers adjustable transducer supports. Indeed, a depth finder that is too deep tends to create a geyser of water when you are sailing. If it is too high, it quickly "stalls" and no longer gives any indication once you exceed 10 knots. This installation height depends mainly on the design of the hull (step or not, depth of the V, strakes) Finding the right height is particularly difficult and often requires several holes to be drilled in the gelcoat of the transom. The slides are there to adjust this setting by making progressive tests. Moreover, with a simple knob, you can easily remove the sensor and put it in the engine pan for example. This will be very useful to avoid damaging it when you take your boat out of the water to put it on the trailer. It also avoids antifouling when the boat remains in port.
