Le Mousse, the beer that cleans the beaches

Created by a reservist of the French Navy, Le Mousse beer is not only the drink that sailors love. It is also a great initiative to clean up our beaches and make our consumption more responsible.

A citizen's approach

Quentin Busch, a young reservist in the French Navy, launched his beer brand based on a personal experience: " After seeing my friend throw his cigarette butt on the ground, something clicked. "Dude, pick up your cigarette and I'll buy you a beer! "Since beer was the common currency at that time in my life, I promised my friend that I would buy him a beer at the bar next door if he picked up that butt. "Thus was born the start-up Le Mousse, whose main activity is to manufacture and market a light beer, available in blonde or white.

" Our 33 cl bottle is currently sold between 2.50 and 3 euros in the cellar, and from 5 to 6 euros in the bar. Our 75 cl bottle, as well as the draught, are available since this winter. "

One liter consumed means one meter of beach cleaned

Quentin is therefore committed to an eco-responsible approach in order to promote his product. How did he do it? By committing to finance associations such as "A bottle for the Sea", which work in the cleaning of the coastline. One liter of beer consumed will be enough to clean one meter of beach.

Incidentally, the start-up is also committed to offering beers to the participants of the cleaning operations. But to be consumed in moderation of course!

Looking for ambassadors

In order to perpetuate its approach, Le Mousse has also developed a range of ethical clothing, natural cosmetics and delicatessen. The brand has opened a first point of sale in Toulon, and all products are available on the lemousse.fr website.

And the startup is looking for ambassadors: " Becoming an ambassador means taking part in the Le Mousse project, participating in events, sharing ideas, becoming a prescriber, testing future products and receiving all new products first "says Quentin.
