Galileo2 and its floating marina, the future of yachting?

If living on the sea became our quotidien?? With its oversized ship concept, that's what the German studio Beiderbeck Designs offers. Here is the Galileo2, a 200 m long mega-catamaran offering an incredible 80 m floating marina.

In addition to an elegant and luxurious design that is open to the outside world and uses numerous glass walls, the Galileo 2 is a concept designed to push the limits of naval architecture. Imagined by the German studio Beiderbeck Designs, this 200 m long mega-catamaran has been designed to live on the sea in the greatest comfort.

Like a floating hotel, this catamaran offers a huge 80 m long marina where different types of boats can be moored: sailing and motor boats, but also a host of water toys. A total of 25 units can be stored between the two hulls of the boat: jet skis, submarines or small boats.

Inside, you will find all the services you would expect from a large luxury hotel: cabins for up to 38 guests and 75 employees, a restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the sea, a huge swimming pool of almost 500 m2, an open-air cinema and even a hospital for emergencies.

It will also be possible to reach the boat by air, thanks to a large helipad and storage sheds equipped with fuel stations.

For the propulsion of its huge catamaran, the studio thought of a methanol system as well as geothermal energy. The design studio announces a maximum speed of 22 knots and an autonomy of 19?000 miles. Will this project, the construction cost of which is estimated at nearly 500 billion euros, ever see the light of day? Still, in view of the services and the amount of the production, not everyone will be allowed to spend a few days there.
