Covid's opinion, you have to spend your next vacation on a boat..

Our lives are currently being turned upside down to limit the risk of Covid-19 spreading, and as we move out of strict confinement we will have to adopt new holiday habits and avoid crowds. In the "next world", boating holidays are undoubtedly the safest and probably also the most enjoyable.

If in the spring of 2020, so many boaters found themselves confined to their boats, it is because this environment is particularly safe to live in, free from the risks of contagion. If for some, the time at anchor may seem long, it is because they have not experienced the confinement between four walls without a horizon.

Constrained by protective measures, many of us have fantasized about confinement at anchor. For many of us, it was the promise of fresh air, of enjoying the surrounding space, swimming, fishing... Fortunately, we will soon be able to join the boats and set out to sea.

And with new social habits, there are countless reasons to spend the next vacation on a boat.

Getting on the boat is not risky

The choice of holiday destination is a subject that raises many questions. Will it be safe to stay in a tourist hotel, a club, will the beaches be equipped with Plexiglas?? Even the means of transport to get to the holiday destination is also in question, will we go to airports or gares??

Clearly, the choice of boat holidays is much safer. You leave your home by car, arrive at the port to pick up the crew and supplies before setting sail. If you follow a few common sense rules, the risk of contagion is particularly limited.

The boat is a protective cocoon

On a boating holiday, what could be easier than staying away from the summer crowds. Moreover, the turning radius makes it possible to respect the strictest social distances.

Beyond the relationship with the other boats, life on board is synonymous with autonomy, it is also a protective and reassuring place to live, even during a gale.

Since you have to stay away from the crowds, the advantage of boats is undeniable: you sleep on them, eat on them, live on them and when you leave the boat, it's never far away or for long. This small travelling, supportive and autonomous community is the notion of a crew that we love to share with family and friends.

Although exposed to the open air, which we miss so much at the moment, the boat is a safe place to live. And as the virus cannot tolerate water and does not spread through the air, these are still good reasons to prefer a boat holiday.

Boat vacations are economical

The sailboat is obviously the most economical and ecological means of locomotion. As long as you have a little wind and weather, and you can get around without paying a penny. Motorboats are not subject to the vagaries of the wind, but are expensive unless you are willing to sail slowly. In any case, while cruising, you can take your time to make a quick leap.

Boat holidays are such an economical way of life on a daily basis. On board, you have everything you need to prepare small dishes without going to restaurants (which may still be closed). You can also fish and enjoy the taste of a simple and authentic life.

You don't need a megayacht to feel "at home."

A boat is always an extension of oneself, it is easy to personalize it in the manner of a home interior. Quickly, we rediscover certain habits and then we invent others, as we are doing right now.

In the end, the necessary comfort is quite subjective, but as long as you have time on your hands, washing dishes in seawater or cooking without turbomix can have a simple and authentic taste of life.

You don't need a maximum level of comfort, only sufficient comfort. And cherry on the cake, your home sweet home has the ability to have you change your garden infinitely according to your desires.
