The Cap Ferret 702 WS - which takes over the hull of the 702 Open - could not go unnoticed on the Parisian stand of the Bordeaux-based manufacturer B2 Marine, whose boats are built in France. With its sporty and modern look, its black roll-bar and its shell covered with a blue shade covering, this new model stands out from the rest of the range.
And this is precisely what the French shipyard is looking for, as Bertrand Badets, the son of the founder of the shipyard, who is taking over as the new manager, explains. "The 702 WS was designed to boost the range and attract a younger audience. It's a sporty boat, with an aggressive look and brand new equipment."
On this 6.49 m long and 2.48 m wide model, B2 Marine plays the game of versatility with equipment that is suitable for water sports, idleness or fishing. We also appreciate the package offered with all this equipment that will allow us to have fun while practicing various activities.
At the front, we discover a square facing each other that can be transformed into a sunbathing area. It is possible to keep the table in position to obtain this bathing range by adding only a piece of cushion on the front.
There is a rounded centre console as well as the windscreen, which brings more modernity. Despite the beautiful width of the latter - necessary to offer a small cabin with a 2-seater mattress - the gangways remain of good size to move around on board. The cockpit is equipped with a boslter with rod holders or bucket seats.
In the cockpit, there is a bench under which there is a large storage compartment. It is also possible to move the front cockpit table to the base provided for this purpose on the stern of the boat. A total of 9 people can be accommodated on board the 702 WS.
To enhance the boat's sporty access, the French manufacturer has added a blue covering (optional), but several other colours are in the catalogue. The list of options also includes a roll-bar in black matt colour or a Seadeck floor covering for the modern side.
As for the engine, the 702 WS can accommodate up to 225 horsepower outboard, but the yard recommends a 200 horsepower engine
