Web series / Pushed by the Wind: Arrival of the Route du Rhum 2018 in Guadeloupe

In this vlog 42, Sarah, Aurélien and Nael leave Martinique for Guadeloupe by sailing through the channels. This finish coincides with the arrival of the 2018 Route du Rhum competitors last November.

Departing from Martinique, Sarah, Aurélien and Nael head to Dominica for a night at anchor in Portsmouth. Although friendly and a little sporty, this navigation in the channel was a little difficult for Sarah, who is prone to seasickness due to her pregnancy. But Aurélien is there to support her and took care of Nael and the meal, leaving Sarah the opportunity to stay on deck.

The next day, Maloya's crew set sail for Guadeloupe and more precisely Pointe-à-Pitre. This will be an opportunity for them to witness the arrival of the Route du Rhum, which arrived in November 2018

An emotional moment for Aurélien from Saint-Malo, for whom departures from the transatlantic are familiar, unlike arrivals. But this arrival in Guadeloupe is also symbolic for the little family since it marks their one and a half year of sailing in the Atlantic.
