The Big Ship rigger offers a range of watertight bags in its 2018 catalogue. This will be completed with new models for the 2019 season. To make these technical bags, Big Ship has partnered with the manufacturer Zulupack. The design of the bags is made in France while the construction is carried out in Asia.
Technical models
Technically these bags are waterproof, as they are made of Nylon 420 coated with PVC on both sides (both sides). The joints are high frequency welds, ensuring strength and tightness.
Depending on the model, the bag is closed by rolling it on itself at least 3 turns, or by using a waterproof zip. In the latter case, water cannot penetrate, but the seal does not withstand the pressure (they are not bags to go under water, but just in the rain). And if water does not enter, mud, snow or even dust cannot enter either.
Colours and shapes
With Zulupack, Big Ship offers a very complete catalogue of waterproof bags. While the classic tube models (15, 25 and 45 litres) are traditional, the wide range of colours makes them really attractive.
Perfectly adapted for crew members, the travel bags (45 and 65 litres) are practical with their large opening to keep your belongings dry. A pressure relief valve makes it easy to close the bag by letting air escape. In addition to the two carrying handles, two straps are provided to carry the bag on your back.
Finally, for air travelers, a waterproof "cabin bag" and a backpack are also available. These models with their many pockets will be perfect for the globetrotter.
Promotions for Christmas
During the whole month of December 2018, Big Ship is giving discounts on its entire collection. Indeed, this network has decided not to be present at the Paris Boat Show and reports this saving by offering 10% on all products in the catalogue (except electronics). Of course, all waterproof bags benefit from this discount.
