Rivike, the first inflatable paddle bike

The Rivike is the first inflatable paddle bike and will be presented at the Nautic (December 8-16, 2018) as a world premiere. Pedal on the water with ease and agility, that's what this paddle of another kind offers, but not only because the key word of its design is "versatility".

Rivike is an inflatable paddle bike. Take an inflatable paddle board, install an insert system, position a pedalboard and handlebar on it and you get the Rivike. "Twenty years ago, a water bike was developed on a rigid board. We have optimized and modernized it by adapting it on an inflatable board. It's a real innovation proposed by Rivike" explains Alexandra Bazetoux, co-founder of the project.

The adventure began in 2014, when Alex - another founder - decided to bring back his old water bike from the 90s. He was then approached by stand-up paddle lovers, interested in the product. He therefore decided to embark on the adventure and design, manufacture and market a new water bike that was fast, light, easy to transport and easy to use.

If you have already seen water bicycles - often mounted on two pneumatic boots - this is the first inflatable, and therefore transportable in a backpack. A big advantage over the rigid board, not always easy to bring to the left and right.

But Rivike doesn't stop there because the key word of his concept is versatility, as Alexandra explains. "It is also a versatile and versatile project, with 4 different uses, currently in development: a bicycle on the water, a paddle board by removing pedals and handlebars, a paddle kayak by fixing a seat on it and a windsurfing board."

For the moment, Rivike is only at the prototype stage - developed using industrial modelling software and a 3D printer - but it is still able to go at a speed of 15 km/h.

The paddle bike will be presented for the first time at the Nautic, in Paris, in the heart of the ski village. Sold at the price of 2?790 euros including VAT, it is currently available in pre-order and the first copies should be available in the summer of 2019. And good news, Parisian buyers will be able to benefit from a 15% discount during salon?!
