Route du Rhum 2018: How to follow the start without being in Saint-Malo?

For those who cannot be in Saint-Malo to follow the start of the Route du Rhum this Sunday 4 November 2018 no panique?! Television, radio and social networks will broadcast the departure.

Who says anniversary edition - 40 ans?! - said exceptional media coverage, in France, as at internationale?! First of all, France Télévisions, partner of the race.

Live on television

The start of the race will be broadcast live on France 3, France Ô and TV5 Monde, with airplay on France 3 at 1:30 pm (until 3:30 pm). In addition to the presenters, Franck Cammas (winner of the 2010 Route du Rhum in Ultime) and Roland Jourdain (double winner of the IMOCA monohull event in 2006 and 2010) will be present.

This is the first time that the race has received international media coverage, with a broadcast on TV5 Monde, which will reach around 100 countries outside France.

Other channels will also produce special programmes such as Route du Rhum TF1/LCI, BFM TV, Infosport+, La Chaine L'équipe, Tébéo/Tébésud.

Broadcasting on television

The images of the start can be reviewed in Stade 2 on France 2 (4:50 pm), in Tout le Sport on France 3 (8:40 pm) or in L'Image du Jour, a daily short programme broadcast from 29 October to 23 November on France 2, France 3 and France Ô.

Live on the radio

BFMTV will rebroadcast the race and will be on the air at noon with special envoys on the pontoons. Major national radio stations such as France Info, France Bleu, Europe 1, RMC, RTL.
