The new VHF B&G incorporates an AIS receiver and can be installed in many combinations. With its wireless handset, it adapts to all boats.

The new B&G V60 is a fixed DSC VHF that integrates an AIS receiver. This model has an integrated GPS (in the front panel) but can also receive information from a GPS on the NMEA 2000 network. With an additional NMEA 183 connection, this VHF will be able to communicate with all the devices on board and send or receive data from other equipment.

A deportable microphone

The removable remote microphone of the V60 radio can be connected to the front or rear of the VHF. Thus the VHF can be installed high above the bar in a helmsman for example and the microphone can be placed at the bottom, avoiding hanging wires. B&G provides wire extensions.

A wireless VHF?

Gone are the days of installing VHF at the chart table with a loudspeaker in the cockpit to hear messages. Now, the V60 can be combined with one or two wireless handsets. All VHF functions are accessible from this handset, which can be carried anywhere in the boat (maximum range 100 m). Waterproof (IPX7), its battery provides it with a battery life of 8 hours. Recharging is done by an induction charger (a base plate). The H60 handsets can be used as intercom systems.
