The famous sailing photography competition has been available in video format for one year now. The 2nd edition of the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award opened on 28 September 2018 and the public is invited to vote for their favourite video.

Open to audiovisual professionals, publishers, cameramen, producers and professional navigators, the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award recognizes the best navigation videos produced each year.

For this 2nd edition, no less than 28 directors from seven countries submitted a video. This year 2018 was particularly rich in racing and impressive videos from the Volvo Ocean Race, the Ultimate Class, the Olympic series or the Mini-Transat were sent. Prestigious sailors such as Armel Le Cléac'h, François Gabart and James Spithill are also the protagonists of these videos.

Two categories are proposed:

- Videos made by image professionals (26 videos)

- The videos made by the skippers, during the race (2 videos)

The winners will be announced in public at an official ceremony at the Yacht Racing Forum on 23 October in Lorient (FRA), in front of sports personalities from all over the world: regatta organisers, class presidents, sponsors, yacht clubs, sailors, etc.

Like the photo competition, the main prize - the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award - will be awarded by the international jury. The public price will depend on the number of votes on the Internet. The Special Jury Prize will be awarded to the professional navigator who has produced the best video during a regatta.
