The X100, Iguana Yachts' first amphibious semi-rigid boat

The Iguana Yacht yard known for its amphibious boats equipped with caterpillar launches a new range of robust and functional boats, a range of semi-rigid boats that benefits from the same technology. The first model will be the X100, a 10-m tyre that required several years of development on site.

A more functional and all-terrain boat

Iguana Yachts euros amphibious boatyard launches its first semi-rigid model, the X100. This new model was requested by many customers since the launch of the brand in 2008. The specifications? A less luxurious, more robust and functional boat, capable of sailing anywhere and in any weather, at a more accessible price.

"After 10 years of developing and fine-tuning the technology of the Iguana Yacts brand, the natural evolution was to build the X 100 RIB. An easy to maintain, accessible and economical boat with unlimited playground. We have a number of customers who have expressed the need for a strong, functional boat that would allow them to access their waterfront home, regardless of the infrastructure. A utility boat that can be used for water sports, fishing, exploring or simply creating lasting memories on the water. The essence of the Iguana X line is to offer a new freedom to boaters. Now, any waterfront homeowner will have access to a useful and functional amphibious boat explains Antoine Brugidou, Founder & CEO of Iguana Yachts.

A varied program

The X100 is a semi-rigid boat with a central console, 10 m long, with floats made of hypalon orca 860 decitex. The shipyard announces a robust and powerful boat with great maneuverability, capable of sailing in light seas with waves up to 1.2 m. With an open and spacious deck plan, its program is varied.

The center console, protected by a hard-top, houses a comfortable double bench seat (adjustable bench seat optional) and a helm station with a spacious dashboard capable of accommodating a GPS, a depth sounder or a stereo pack.

Many configurations are available, from the hard-top to the head (in front of the console), for family sailing to fishing trips.

The X100 is powered by up to 600 hp outboard and is expected to reach a maximum speed of 55 knots. Its 380-liter fuel tank gives it a range of 150 miles.

Numerous packs to customize your boat

The Comfort Pack includes a spacious L-shaped bench seat with a large storage box and backrest, a spacious deckhouse that provides 600L of storage space or a toilet, a pilot seat with driver and passenger seats and two rear facing seats and a fresh water shower.

The Fishing Pack receives 4 integrated rod holders, a fish tank and a bait grinder, as well as a seawater pump.

The Electronic package includes Garmin 10" GPS navigation, VHF, 25 volts, fishfinder, local charts and built-in audio system.

Easy to "roll" and easy to transport

Thanks to its tracks, the X100 can roll on various terrains such as mud, soft or wet sand, pebbles or rocks and climb slopes from 29 to 45%. This semi-rigid version, unlike the other euro versions, has a reduced draught which allows it to run aground easily.

Like the rest of the range, the X100 can be easily stored on land, protected from weather or vandalism and without port charges. Access to the boat is easy thanks to its secured ladder. Finally, the materials used such as stainless steel, rubber or aluminum are designed to resist salt water.

With a selling price starting at 220,000 euros before tax and a pre-order advance of 5,000 euros, the shipyard hopes to quickly fill its order book.
