After 28 days of sailing from Panama, the crew of Fuga arrived in Atuona on the Marquesan island of Hiva Oa. The crossing of the Pacific went very well, even if the crew was expecting a bit more wind. They thought the tradewinds were a little more constant and a little stronger, but in the end it's perhaps not for nothing that this ocean is called the Pacific... It was a very comfortable and pleasant crossing.
Marie recounts her Polynesian discovery: "Arriving in the Marquesas after 28 days at sea is a bit like arriving in Paradise! Fruits falling from the sky, adorable people, lush vegetation... We can say without much hesitation that this is our favourite stopover of the trip! We had the chance to meet charming Marquisians eager to share their culture with us. Well, we especially shared the culinary culture to tell the truth... And it wasn't to displease us! I promise, in the next episode we'll talk a little less about food and a little more about culture!"
