24-hour monohull distance record: 536.81 miles

During the Vendée Globe, Alex Thomson has broken the 24-hour solo distance record in a monohull: 536.81 nautical miles, or more than 994 land kilometers! An extraordinary performance achieved between 8 a.m. this Sunday, January 15, 2017 and 8 a.m. this Monday, January 16.

Vendée Globe in 74 days 03 hours, 35 minutes and 46 seconds

Armel Le Cléac'h won this 8th edition of the Vendée Globe this January 19, 2017 at 16 hours 37 minutes and 46 seconds! He sets a new record with a circumnavigation in 74 days 03 hours, 35 minutes and 46 seconds.

Jules Verne Trophy in 40 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes and 30 seconds

Idec Sport has just crossed the finish line this Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 8:49 a.m. after 40 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes and 30 seconds. Francis Joyon and his five crew members thus win the Jules Verne Trophy Record with nearly 5 days ahead of the previous reference time, held by Loïck Peyron on the trimaran Banque Populaire.

French freediving record for Morgan Bourc'his

Frenchman Morgan Bourc'his, twice world champion in freediving, has just broken his own record and ratified a new national record in constant weight freediving, with a descent to a depth of 104 m, achieved in 3:43 minutes, carried out on May 10, 2017 during the Vertical Blue, international freediving competition, in the Bahamas.

Kitesurfing challenge: 260 nautical miles (460 km) achieved with the strength of one hand

Chris Ballois, world record holder in speed sailing for the disabled, deprived of his left forearm since birth had embarked on June 3 in a challenge in kitefoil around the Ponant Islands. Successful challenge for the champion handisport on June 13, 2017 in 8 stages.

America's Cup, victory for Emirates Team New Zealand

For the 3rd time since its creation in 1851, the New Zealanders won this 35th America's Cup on Monday, June 26, 2017, after the 1995 and 2000 editions. They thus take their revenge on the 34th edition (2013), where they had led 8-1 their opponent before Oracle Team USA came back to score 8-9..

The Bridge in 8 days, 31 minutes and 20 seconds

François Gabart and his crew won The Bridge - the Ultimates race against the liner Queen Mary in 8 days, 31 minutes and 20 seconds, setting a new benchmark time between Saint-Nazaire and New York on Monday, July 3, 2017, on the trimaran Macif.

North Atlantic record in 4 days 11 hours and 10 minutes 23 seconds

The feat is incredible! Francis Joyon had already done strong, very strong by linking New York to England in just over 5 days, but Thomas Coville has just passed a new milestone! With a finish line crossing at 7:29 pm this Saturday, July 15, 2017, he will have taken the North Atlantic Record under the 5-day mark with a crossing in 4 days 11 hours and 10 minutes 23 seconds! A pure speed record...

Northwest Passage in 71 days

Yvan Bourgnon has successfully completed his Challenge! On the strength of the wind and his arms alone, he completed the Northwest Passage solo and without assistance on his non-dwelling sports catamaran named "Ma Louloute" on September 22, 2017. After 71 days of sailing - almost a Vendée Globe - he reached Nuuk in Greenland and was reunited with his family. Even though he almost gave up several times and encountered intense conditions, he held on and sailed 7500 km to complete the course.

Transat Jacques Vabre in 7 days 22 h 7 min 27 s

Thomas Coville and Jean-Luc Nélias on Sodebo Ultim' have just won the 13th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre in the Ultime category. Arrived this November 13, 2017 in Brazil at 11 h 42 min 27 s (French time) that is, 7 h 42 min 27 s Bahia time. They thus set a new crossing record between Le Havre and Salvador de Bahia.

24 world championship titles for Antoine Albeau

The last event of the Funboard World Cup that took place in New Caledonia ended this Sunday, November 26, 2017. And once again, year after year, it is Antoine Albeau who signs a new world victory, now counting 24 funboard world champion titles! Albeau, still on top at 45!

Mini-Transat in 22 days, 23 hours, 52 minutes, 46 seconds

Ian Lipinski won this 2017 edition of the Mini-Transat La Boulangère in the proto category, crossing the finish line of the 2nd leg of the Mini Transat La Boulangère at 2:30'34'' (French time) on November 14. He will have reached Le Marin, Martinique in 13 days 22 minutes 34 seconds at an average speed of 9.41 knots. His total race time is 22 days, 23 hours, 52 minutes, 46 seconds. He is the first sailor to win the Mini Transat in a production boat and in a prototype, all consecutively. In series, it is Erwan Le Draoulec who won on Thursday, November 16 at 2:50:15 a.m. (French time) and became the youngest winner of the race.

24-hour solo multihull distance record: 851 miles

During his attempt at the solo Round the World Record, François Gabart broke the record for the longest distance sailed in 24 hours... With 851 miles on the clock, he became the first solo sailor to pass the symbolic 800 mile mark!

Single-handed round-the-world record in a multihull in 42 days 16 hours 40 minutes and 35 seconds

He did it! What Gabart has just achieved is just incredible! A solo round the world race on his trimaran Macif in less than 43 days! Having left on November 4, 2017, he crossed the finish line of his solo round-the-world race, located between Lizard Cape and Ushant this Sunday, December 17 at 2:45 am. A round-the-world navigation completed in 6 weeks!
