Uniteck, innovation in French-style flexible solar panels

Uniteck's new semi-flexible solar panels are designed for nautical applications. Discover the Unisun range available at Accastillage Diffusion.

Uniteck is a French manufacturer of solar panels. If it uses Sunware Back contact cells (like the competition), assembly, electronic protection and connectors are "in-house" productions.

This year, this company presents a new Unisun MF range available in 3 power ratings: 50, 100 and 150 W. These are semi-flexible panels mounted on a fibreglass plate and protected on top by a high quality coating (ETFE). This surface "plastic" has a high light transmittance and self-cleaning properties that are very useful at sea.

Equipped with a TüV-certified junction box, the panels are protected against any cell overvoltage or hot-spot phenomenon (anti-spot protection) due to shadow zones or cell masking, a frequent phenomenon particularly in nautical applications (shadow of ropes or sails). This new case also has a rounded shape so that the ropes do not get caught on it.

These solar panels can be mobile, held in place with eyelets using a sling or elastic band, but can also be glued to the deck. Ideally, it is best to avoid walking on them to prolong their life.
