The Crozon Morgat Nautical Centre (29) welcomes the National de 420, from 07 to 12 July 2017. Rendezvous on the beautiful Breton water for a mythical dinghy.

6 days of regattas

During 6 days, from 07 to 12 July 2017, the Crozon Morgat Nautical Centre is organising the National 420. On the Douarnenez Bay, sailors from all over the world will compete on board the famous dinghy. Delegations from several European countries, as well as from the United States, will meet in the Breton town. 57 boats are registered to date. After a day of training, fleet races will be launched from July 9 to 11, before the final regatta scheduled for Wednesday, July 12.

A demanding dinghy

Known to many French yachtsmen as the family dinghy par excellence, the 420 also attracts keen racers. It has trained renowned sailors such as the last helmsman, America's Cup winner Peter Burling, who was twice 420 world champion in 2006 and 2007.

The young people of the Franco-German 420 course

Franco-German course

In collaboration with the French Sailing Federation and the Nantes club of the SNO, the Crozon-Morgat CN organized a Franco-German training course before the competition, to prepare the young sailors from both countries. They were thus able to discover the subtleties of the water and get to know each other.

Busy season

After the 420 competition, CN Crozon-Morgat will host the Laser International from July 14 to 16, 2017. The club is also a candidate to host the IODA European Optimist Championship in 2019.
