StopSel, to avoid"sticking" to salt

The salt that settles, corrodes the metal parts and ends up forming a kind of glue that blocks the mechanisms. A simple rinse with fresh water is not enough to make it disappear completely. Use StopSel which dissolves salt.

Sailors know it: salt is really harmful for all the equipment on board. It eventually settles and corrodes metal parts, including the engine. The cooling circuit of all engines (outboard and inboard) uses sea water to lower the temperature. This circulation of sea water requires a good rinsing during periods of inaction (wintering in particular).

If rinsing with fresh water is recommended, it is often not sufficient. Even after the passage of clear water, salt often remains stuck to the walls. To ensure that it is dissolved properly, use a product such as StopSel.

Stop Sel

StopSel is specially formulated to dissolve salt and stop its harmful effects. In addition, StopSel deposits a protective film, corrosion inhibitor. This product is safe for aluminium, stainless steel, and other materials.

Using StopSel is simple. To flush an engine, this manufacturer has developed a kit called Automix. It is a tank that is installed on a water pipe and mixes the product with the jet water. This allows you to connect ears to the base of an outboard motor or to connect directly to the motor water intake.

Stop Sel

But StopSel is not limited to rinsing engines, available as a spray it can also be used on all surfaces that have been exposed to spray. And as the StopSel is not aggressive, you can use it everywhere: dashboard, diving, fishing, water skiing equipment... For sailors, the StopSel will also be used on all deck fittings and especially blockers. Stop Salt is also effective on our sea gear (waxed) and will be very effective not to block the zips of our jackets.

Stop Sel

Think about it! When returning from an outing, a StopSel application will ensure a perfect restart for the next outing..
