Sunseeker expands its Manhattan range

Manhattan 66 from Sunseeker International

Sunseeker is the English motor yacht specialist between 50 and 100 feet. After the Manhattan 52, which was launched this autumn and met with great success, the British shipyard is launching the Manhattan 66, the largest model in the range. Spacious and very luminous, it has the same features as the smallest model.

Sunseeker International, the English motor yacht shipyard, presented the new Manhattan 66 at the London Boat Show. This new 20.81m model comes after the smallest model in the range Manhattan, 52 The new boat, presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016, has already generated sales of more than 34 million euros (£30 million). The largest model in the range has many of the same features as the smallest.

This new model reinforces Sunseeker's position in this crucial market segment and underlines its commitment to producing a range of luxury motor yachts between 50 and 150 feet.

The Manhattan 66 is designed to maximize space and to do so, light is flooded into the boat. First of all, note the very large hull glazing that extends from bow to stern, or the almost continuous main deck glazing for a panoramic view. Her new V-shaped hull, the signature of the English shipyard, brings performance and very good seakeeping. Finally, its open and spacious deck plan offers plenty of space on board for a yacht of this size.

The layout of the main deck is based on the creation of a generous and open space, with plenty of space to meet. The exterior lines are fluid and one can easily move from the sun deck sunbathing area at the bow to the large cockpit, adjacent to the fully equipped galley and the main deck saloon. As an option, the galley can be placed on the lower deck to create an even greater space of comfort.

This large open space continues to the large bathing platform, where a RIB tender can be stored. This space can also be used as a "beach club" with an optional barbecue, a folding bench seat and a rain shower, as already seen on the Manhattan 52.

The new flybridge configuration gives the impression of being on a larger boat indicates the shipyard. It has been fitted out to privilege idleness and comfort with numerous sunbathing areas and benches and a fully equipped bar.

The crew cabin with twin beds has private access from the aft bathing platform and has a private bathroom as well as plenty of storage space. The rest of the lower deck is occupied by four spacious cabins as the galley is located in the saloon. There are two twin cabins, a VIP suite at the bow and a full beam owner's cabin with private access from the saloon. A first for a yacht of this size at Sunseeker.

Equipped with two MAN 1000hp/1200hp shaft drive engines or Volvo Penta IPS-1200, the Manhattan 66 has a cruising speed of 25 knots and a top speed of 34 knots.
